Our Jewellery

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. This proportion is defined and fixed by law. It is the standard of purity set by the Assay offices in Britain and is used for most silver jewellery throughout the world. Fine silver (99.9%) is generally too soft for producing functional items.

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is sterling silver plated with a fine layer of gold. Most of our gold vermeil jewellery is plated with 24 carat gold, but please see individual product descriptions for clarity on carat plating.

Personalisation

We offer a personalisation service on a selection of products where indicated by a dropdown option in the product description. This consists of a hand stamp initial onto a solid sterling silver or 18ct gold plated sterling silver disc charm which is attached to the piece. Please note, returns or exchanges are not available on personalised items or orders made specifically to your requirements.

CARING FOR YOUR SILVER AND GOLD VERMEIL

We recommend you keep your jewellery stored in the box provided and that individual pieces are kept separate to avoid scratching and tangling.

Please avoid all contact with water, make up, body lotion, sun creams, perfume, hairspray, deodorant, cleaning products and any other chemicals, as these will tarnish silver and affect the gold plating.

Never wear your jewellery in the shower, when swimming or coming into contact with salt water.

Chlorine can permanently damage or discolour your gold vermeil jewellery.

It is natural for gold vermeil to fade with time.

Our products are guaranteed against manufacturing faults, but not misuse.

To keep your jewellery sparkling, you can polish it gently with a soft jewellery cloth.
